Built for a healthier, safer, quieter, and more resilient life.
Profile written for architects and those technically minded.
The world’s most complete natural building system
Build with the strength of nature—and live surrounded by it.
HOLZ100 is a solid-timber building system engineered for exceptional health, comfort, durability, safety, and resilience. Made from carefully selected moonwood and assembled into massive cross-layered timber elements, Holz100 creates buildings designed to perform for generations.
No other building system brings all of these performance goals together in one solid-wood structure.
Unlike conventional construction, Holz100 contains no structural glue, no chemical wood preservatives, and no treated timber. Its solid, untreated wood provides a naturally clean interior environment with no added preservative chemicals and no glue-based structural VOC source.
A healthier place to live
Holz100 helps create a calm, EMF free, clean, quiet, breathable indoor environment:
- No added structural preservatives
- No structural glue
- Natural humidity regulation
- Stable indoor temperatures
- Low-emission solid-wood interiors
- Up to 99.9% reduction of high-frequency electromagnetic radiation
- A 50-year warranty against mold and condensation
With Holz100, your home becomes more than shelter—it becomes a protective living environment for your body, your family, and your future.
Exceptional fire performance
Holz100 is effectively fireproof. Under flame Holz100 forms a protective char layer that shields the timber beneath it and preserves structural capacity.
Performance includes:
- Exposure to 900–1,000°C for up to 150 minutes
- Fire resistance up to REI 120 / F90
- Specific assemblies reported at F180
- Only 1.8°C temperature rise on the protected side after 120 minutes
Holz100 delivers the fire safety of a massive engineered structure while retaining the warmth and beauty of natural wood.
Built for earthquakes
Holz100’s solid, cross-layered structure provides strength in multiple directions while allowing controlled flexibility during seismic movement. Full-scale testing in Japan and the survival of Holz100 buildings during major earthquakes demonstrate its extraordinary earthquake resilience.
This is a building system designed not merely to stand—but to protect.
Warm in winter. Cool in summer.
The massive timber structure stores and releases heat naturally, helping maintain a stable indoor climate.
Performance includes:
- Thermal conductivity of approximately λ = 0.079 W/m·K
- Up to 2× the thermal-storage capacity of conventional mineral wall materials
- Up to 95% lower energy use
- Indoor temperatures maintained above 0°C for up to 777 hours without heating
- Airtightness as low as 0.6 ACH50
Holz100 combines insulation, thermal mass, and humidity regulation in one powerful building envelope.
Quiet, solid, and enduring
The mass of Holz100 provides outstanding acoustic comfort:
- Sound insulation up to 63 dB
- Massive walls and ceilings that reduce airborne noise
- A peaceful interior environment protected from traffic, neighbors, and urban disturbance
Its dense, stable moonwood is impervious to mould, insects, cracking, shrinkage, and deformation—all without any chemical preservatives. The result is a building designed for a service life measured in generations, not decades.
Holz100: one system, extraordinary results
Health. Thermal comfort. Acoustic silence. Fire safety. Earthquake resilience. EMF protection. Durability. Natural beauty.
No other building system brings all of these performance goals together in one solid-wood structure.
Holz100 is not simply a way to build a house. It is a way to build a healthier, safer, quieter, more resilient future.
